The Circus

The P1 and P2 children put on a fantastic show for their friends and family members on Friday. They had been learning about the circus and had spent a great deal of time developing their skills in balancing, movement and mime. Well done everyone. It was a great show.

Percy the Puffin

Children from P1 and the nursery took part in a web chat with Percy the Puffin. Percy comes from the Scottish Seabird Centre in Oban and with the help of his friend, Emily Dodd, he told us a story all about puffins. Before the story began, we could see real puffins flying about outside. it was amazing to see all of this from the comfort of our school via webcam. There were about 90 other schools and nurseries logged on for the interactive session and the children enjoyed talking to people from all over Scotland.

The Circus

We have been learning all about how a circus operates and the different people that work there. We enjoy dressing up as clowns and trying out our acrobatic skills. We have been experimenting with foam to see how easy it is to throw. We made our own clowns using a variety of collage materials. We will be inviting our parents to come up to school to see what we have been learning.
